Ok so maybe not literally my first fakemon but it is the first that’s not just floating in my head and that I’ve actually drawn and written info for. The name is a portmanteau of bonnethead and metal detectors.
I imagine it would have a similar ecology to the real bonnethead shark, searching for armored prey in the sediment using sensors on its head, in this case a metal detector, perhaps for finding steel type crustaceans and moluscs (future fakemon ideas?).
Its signature ability and move are based on the bonnethead’s diet of hard prey items and specializations in its teeth to deal with them. Also they could give it an interesting niche in matches, both being quite situational but also quite strong in the right situation (balanced by its eh stats). Tbh, I may have spent too much time figuring out the abilities, movepool and stats for someone who hasn’t touched competitive play in years (and who was never really good at it) but I’m not GameFreak and there’s no stakes, just fun.
Lemme know y’all thoughts below. Hopefully this won’t be my last fakemon so I could use any feedback.
