Has anyone tried and successfully moved pokemon from Gen1 and/or Gen2 to later Gens?
I'd love to move the squad from Blue(Gen1 cartridge) on my Gameboy SP to a later Gen. I'm afraid of losing my save data when the internal battery eventually dies.
I also have an emulated version of Silver(Gen2) using the Nintendo 3DS Virtual Console. I'm less concerned about losing this team, but it would be nice to have everyone all together in on place.
I'm currently playing Platinum Gen4) but eventually want to buy Emerald(Gen3).
None of this is for competitive play or anything like that. They just have sentimental value to me.
Any advice is greatly appreciated!
