How can you host an event have problems on one side of the world and then not fix them 14 hours later and let them continue without an announcement or extending the event? Accidentally forgetting to increase the shiny rates for an exclusive event is now unacceptable especially if there is a paid ticket involved!

Have you ever heard of any other company making a mistake like Amazon forgetting to turn on discounts for prime day? Now imagine that happened multiple times per year for several years straight… That is where Niantic is currently and it is pretty clear that they want to ramp up spending on raids, but they don’t want people to Acquire things that makes them back off of the grind. We’re clearly getting scammed. It’s just a matter of how do we hold them accountable? I’m pretty sure we’re not allowed to sue
At this point I've decided to drop the game, I spent 70 passes and only got 2 shinys, 1 dialga without the move, and one dialga with the move, I could've keep doing raids to get Dialga Shiny with the move, but i felt so scammed, like when gamblers say the've already spent certain amount of money so they keep gambling hoping to recover their money, and that felt horrible, and when I learned that they didn't even turned on the increase shiny rates odds to 1/10… I am so dissapointed, lame ass game.
There probably not gonna do anything and if anything it’s gonna be minimal but I have a better fix probably the best one is they they give everyone the exact amount of dialgas and palkias they did with the 1/10 odds and maybe you needed to transfer the ones you already had or something but that’s never going to happen

i completely avoided this event thinking something would be screwy. i want the Palkia candy, but fortunately i'm still working on my rocket grunt steps with the bottlecap research so i wasnt in a rush for the 40 raids, otherwise i'd be right with you all.

Why is everyone complaining? I did about 15 raids during the palkia and dalgia rays events and i got 1 shiny and 3 special move palkias. Evens crying over nothing

I've been saying naintic has been intentionally been doing this for years also look at all the make up evens their either half assed or encourages players to make money. The 1st time naintic mistakenly shiny locked a raid mon was after the gen 3 go fest were the shiny locked mawile and 1 other mon for what a month and a half and kepted quiet about untill like 2 days b4 they removed thoes 2 mon and then told us about the mistake and I said their no way naintic wouldn't keep lieing aboit shiny locking or raising shiny odds becase they know people will blow more money for a make up event.
I mean, you said it yourself you go out there and play as hard as you can meaning you’re a paid to win player you pay to play I mean think about it how much does a level 50 Pokémon cost? It’s over 200 bucks if you acquired it through raids, so saying that who is really the problem is it Niantic or is it everyone turning into mega whales to get a level 50 Pokémon instead of earning it themselves you spend money instead of walking the Pokémon so you can get it done faster And then you complain to the company that doesn’t even own the game. It is called quality control.
When software changes are put into place, they should be promoted from a development environment to a testing environment where full functionality can be tested. Once it has been tested, that full code set should be promoted to production.
If that code is as simple as a script, then the same script should be used in each environment.
But the key is to actually do some testing. Once you begin advertising for an event you have plenty of time to do full workflow testing.
