So yeah I came up with this idea based on Id, Ego, Superego sort of
The design was with Spidoni which was just big legs and a head. The idea was just something super simple a head and large legs.
Next I designed Egonider, where I sort of turned the big legs into kanabo like that was where I started to add more Oni elements tho not much obvious. While lore wise Spidoni are very primitive pests, Egonider is smarter and more self aware.
Finally I basically just tried to make its body more human , keep its head monstrous, and improve the kanabo limbs to be more barbed because I focused on the super part to blow things up more , and was going a bit more in a ushi Oni vibe .
Now the superego part is that while Suponidon look very monstrous and evil, they actually are more protective and supervise the Spidoni so they do not destroy everything
I really like how the designs came out especially Suponidon.
