Cross chop is an actual real life fighting move

I was doing some researches and found out that cross chop is based by a real fighting move.
Specifically the wrestler Mil Máscaras who did the Flying Cross Chop as finishing move which consisted in putting your arms in an 'x' position and hit often the opponent with a double backhand chop or a single (like in the photos above)
