Fakemon

Badger badger badger badger badger badger badger badger

Ok, let's dive into these guys: so the main thing to mention is they are the reworks of my first ever fakemon kind of. If you've seen my posts here before you might remember the otter line I made a while ago that shows the new ones vs the old ones. And since people still liked the originals and I wanted to keep my newer looking otters to actually look like otters, I decided to do one more overhaul of the original artwork and make them into a new badger line, since the original artwork looked more like badgers than otters. And I'm certain there will still be people who like the original artwork still over these guys, but I can't make literally everyone happy, so this is the final outcome of the original artwork. If you look at these guys and my otter post, you'll see they have some similarities, that mainly them all having these dark eyes. That's cause I plan on these guys and the otters being part of a trio. Kind of like the elemental monkeys but dual type and better. Another thing some may connect is that badgers and otters are part of the same family, which gives a little hint of what the third member might be

Now actually onto talking about these guys: you're probably wondering why they are fire/grass and not just pure fire since there aren't really any grass elements in their design. Well that comes more into how they interact with their habitat over their design. So these guys live in grassy areas that are overgrown and dry, and to prevent the environment from getting out of hand they consume all this overgrown plant life. And when they consume all that plant life they release thick volcanic ash from their backs, creating what is know as andisols, which is basically really rich soil created from volcanic material. And releasing said andisols helps the environment they are eating from grow, making it a perfect cycle of eating the plant life and redistributing soil to help it regrow.

The names are more straightforward than their background; Twignis being twig and ignis, and Inverno being inferno and verdant mashed together

Hopefully that explains these guys well enough, cause they are definitely one of the most thought out lines I've thought up so far. Hope you enjoy these once again reworked/overhauled badgers, and as always thanks to those who read these long body texts, I reward you all with a cookie
