Everything with Nintendo since the Switch 2 released seems like a huge debate. I’m a firm believer of “vote with your wallet” and don’t plan on buying anything they’ve shown for the Switch 2 and even skipped on buying the console itself. However, I’m a huge Pokémon fan and have wanted to get my grubby little mitts on ZA since its announcement. My first games were Ruby&X while XYZ was my favorite anime. I have been waiting for Kalos to get a properly loved game with a complete story for all 12 years. Yet it feels like they saw the love for PLA and decided to use that to milk us dry. So many people saw PLA as a step in the right direction and couldn’t wait for the next installment, and when we finally have it it’s bogged down by prices and cut content forced as dlc.
I have my 2017 Switch in perfectly working condition which is why I even considered still getting this game because it’s still $60 for me. I was just gonna wait for Champions to use the new megas so I wouldn’t have to play ranked to get the starters or pay 30$ for some mega rodents (love you Raichu X), but that would rob me of the ZA story plus I don’t even like fighting competitively. Everyone is like “pirate the game” but I don’t know how (and for legal reasons I will say I won’t be pirating and don’t condone it). People of Reddit lend me your energy
