I cleaned up the design a little bit to show the whips are tassels attached to oversized sleeves and colored it based on the night sky, a cold moon, snowy mountains, and aurora colors as I wanted to take inspiration from minks and sables who are very dark but still keep the cool tones of meinshao.
I’m probably going to tweak the colors a bit. Especially by making the tail/piping on the legs the same light purple as the mane and the body more indigo but let me know critiques.
I am also debating on type and would take advice here. I am debating between
Pure fighting as its ability, grandmaster; would change its type to the type of move it is using as well as boosting damage for stab and critical hits on top of that so keeping it fighting counters such a strong ability that voids its base type somewhat.
Fighting/dragon as I am also drawing some inspiration from kitsune and there is a legend of a kitsune becoming a dragon and flying into the sky after assisting in a great battle. As well as the kung fu panda dragon warrior
Fighting/ghost as it has become more spiritual and wise with this evolution and acts as a spiritual leader to its community and is really deviling into the chi and aura stuff. Also there’s a pun about having 1 foot in the grave somewhere here.
Fighting/ground as it gains a lot of defenses and has become “grounded” with this evolution
Fighting/steel as for the same reasons and as it has become tempered by its ordeals and the shaolin were known for using steel weapons
Fighting normal just because normal is the base type so it could be viewed as achieving balance with this.

Also for the evolution method I am thinking beating 30 enemies (e.g about a high level gyms worth or the elite 4 and league champion)
consecutively while holding a kings rock/expert belt and then giving it a dawn stone.
