Story time!!
My dad usually doesn‘t like pokemon (unlike his sister, who’s so into it that she’s even further ahead than me in Pokémon GO), but we are on a long car ride to the hotel, so I opened Pokémon GO and encountered a Slakoth.
My dad does enjoy funny cartoon animals, we watch animated movies all the time. So, I showed him the Slakoth and said, “Look at this funky little guy. he doesn’t even fight back when you try to catch him.”
My dad laughed and replied, “You don’t even need to catch it, just go over there and take him.”
To my surprise, it turned out to be a shiny Ditto! 💙
That moment became a special one to me, because I’ll always connect this rare find with the small but memorable time I bonded with my dad over Pokémon. I even gave it his nickname, like it deserves. Maybe his first step into liking pokis?
