Jumping back into the fray of doing Fakémon art after a LONG time away, with a run of agrarian and domesticated Pokémon (both originals and variants)! So, we start here with Pacquito, a wool-covered Pokémon pretty obviously inspired by alpacas! You can probably guess at least one aspect of its evolution. I originally had plans for three undercoat colors (white, black, and brown) and three skin colors (white, tan, and black), making 99 possible color combinations, but…yeah, that's a lot of possibility, honestly. That is accurate, funnily enough, to alpacas on a genetic standpoint (the observed heterozygosity of alpaca populations surveyed in Peru have been reported as pretty high, even for mammals), but I'm trying to be more efficient in my arting.
Anyway, I've had my alpaca in the works for literal years at this point! This was a Pokémon in the works years ago, and I've never shared it online until now! Feel free to ask any questions about it!
