Can we agree that depending on the pokeball used voltorb and electrode should look like the ball you catch them in?, lieutenant surge would absolutely love a safari ball electrode!!!



Having different abilities and types would be a bit of a stretch but different forms would be so cool!.

I myself would love a moon pokeball electrode but I’d prefer his teeth to be the yellow moon instead of having it on his body.

What pokeball form would you like to have.

    Fast ball plus I’m pretty sure electrode was the fastest in gen 1

    That would imply that they have shapeshifting abilities like Ditto, as opposed to evolving (in the traditional sense) over time to mimic Pokeballs.

    Here’s a curve ball (pun intended), catching wild Voltorb no but if you breed it then the baby adopts the ball design.

    I can’t see why they should alter their appearance to match the ball they are in. But just having a bunch of differently colored formes with no real difference is a thing for many other Pokemon, and it could certainly apply to them

    No, the lore already implies the Voltorb line existed before Poké Balls why would they change in the Poké Ball designs when caught with a different ball camouflage?? When they’re already caught by a trainer

    I think i would personally just prefer different evolutions. Like instead of Voltorb, there is a great ball evolution. And then other evolutions similar to Eevee for heavy ball and the like.
    Or regional forms for different evolutions.
