Yamask – the Spirit Pokémon: These Yamask are attracted by the scent of the honey. The smell makes them so hungry that they evntually started stealing the hives or getting stuck on them. These pokémon seem to always be hungry or uncomfortable.
Buzzarigus – the Angry Spirit Pokémon: The honey and nectar stuck in the hives seem to somehow fuse with Yamask and make it evolve into Buzzarigus. These furious creatures only care about themselves and rarely socialize with other pokémon unless they are looking to feed themselves. The theory behind their ferocity is that they are unhappy inside their hives and want to get out, even if it seems impossible.
Artist Commentary: I'm really happy with this drawing! This art made me realize how much I appreciate Yamask and its evolutions. Also, this is the first time I tried the "Sugimori Art Style" which was fun to try! I'll probably draw another few with this art style while also using my own.
