Just updating one of my first ever made fakemon lines (second line to be exact) with the art style of the current artist I work with. Saw nothing wrong with their poses either so it's literally just the art style that is different, but I'll also go ahead and explain both of these guys since they are some veterans of mine who not everyone has seen. Should also note that I see nothing wrong with the original art either, just wanted the art style to match every other fakemon I've had made so far
Kalawori is the first stage, they are a pure water type. They are small and very weak and cowardly squids who hide in their obsidian shells nearly 24/7. And their name comes from calamari and worry, but spelt with a K instead of a C for a certain reason
The evolution is Kalafuri, which is now a water and dark type. If a Kalawori is lucky enough to gain enough experience, they evolve into this monstrosity. Their shells have now formed into the shape of a harpoon which they use to propel themselves at high speeds to attack enemies and even take down ships. Their name comes from calamari ans fury, and the reason their names start with a K is because they're really kraken-like. Kind of a stretch but spelling their names with a K instead of a C is more interesting
But yeah, nothing too fancy for this post, just an artwork update. The next one I'm updating though I'll definitely be doing more with than I did with these guys so look out for that. Credit for the artwork goes to @poketrainervb on Instagram. Hope you guys like the updated art, and thanks for checking out this post
