One of the aspects why I like regional forms so much is that you can redesign certain pokemons that you might find not up to par. I adore Numel, however Camerupt is a very disappointing evolution. NOt only it barely looks like Numel, it doesn't even look like a camel, more like a hornless cow. So I wanted to do Numel justice and make my own design.
Original Numels and Camerupts live in regions of active volcanism. Their Orbonian counterparts do the same, however, the volcanoes they occupy are the very old ones, with a fairly tame volcanic activity. Such conditions are perfect for the formations of fumaroles – vents in the surface of earth that emit steam and vapors. Some of those fumaroles however emit gases with sulphur compounds, thus the poison typing for the camels that evolved to survive and thrive in fumarole fields.
