I open a lot of packs — also buy a lot of singles, but just something fun about ripping packs lol. A few months ago I had an idea to try to preserve the packs I was ripping so I could restuff them with all of my duplicate bulk and pass them out for Halloween.
After hours upon hours of sorting cards and with my wife's help resealing, this is the end result. Somewhere around 200 full packs, including a handful of Japanese and Korean.
All of them have at least one holo or reverse holo, though there are a decent number with a holo + 2 reverse holos.
Trick-or-Treat in my childhood neighborhood/city was today, so we spent this afternoon with my family passing out about half of them (along with candy of course!). And will pass out the remainder this coming Friday for Trick-or-Treat in our own neighborhood.
Was so awesome to hear so many kids running back to their parents yelling "I GOT POKEMON CARDS!"
With how crazy the current environment is and how difficult it is to get cards at MSRP, glad I was able to share a little joy with the ones who deserve it the most. Definitely something I'm going to try to do in future years as well.

That’s awesome, but your house is about to get egged when everyone realized these are resealed.

I bought the Trick or Trade packs from Target and I’ve been giving them away at local Halloween events and kids Halloween parties we go to.
Usually have a pocket of like 10 of them and give them to kids dressed like Pokémon characters, they love it! We don’t stay home on Halloween night and our neighborhood is pretty dead, but we go to few Trunk or Treats through schools and community organizations.
Been doing this since 2023. it’s a huge hit every Halloween and a great way to lessen bulk. None of the LCS near me take bulk for credit so this has always been the easiest way to re-home cards.

Awesome job!! I just got done packing up about 50 poke balls with some base a few holos and a trick or trade pack! Can’t wait to hand them out!!
Love this idea, but did it a little differently. Instead of keeping the opened packs I got some resealable team packs, and stuffed them with 4 energies, 8 non-holo, 2 reverse holo, and 1 holo or 1 coin or 1 ex. We made about 150 packs and gave them out at a trunk or treat. Was nice to see the kids faces getting packs, some saying how they couldn’t find them anywhere else.
Just put the cards in a sandwich bag or something. Resealing packs and giving them to unsuspecting children is messed up. Resealing packs at all for any reason is messed up. If it’s just about giving away cards, you can do that without presenting them like authentic packs.

40+ packs (including the unfinished ones) so far, sunday bulk was generous to me

I’m doing this for xmass with all my tins so they will be getting the promos and. A repack with my ex’s and other foils like eeve and one will get a graded card. I’m trying to do this at a cancer hospital. But if not I’m hoping to find a way to give it to kids who won’t have any bc of scalpers. Just wana say Ty for every 10 of us there u employed people sitting at targets and pokemon machines all day

when I open packs if its not a ex or higher I put the cards right back into the back and keep them that way, I might try and give some of those out to the kids
