After so many years, Legends ZA has brought us new Megas. I was a bit surprised, however, to see a bit of an imbalance among represented gens, with certain gens, like the most recent one, Paldea, getting no new Mega forms, whereas gen 1 got a few in addition to the multiple existing ones. I know that in the DLC we will get more and some pokémon are for sure getting Megas, while others are more on the speculation side… But this has got me wondering: what does the community think? Of all the existing fully-evolved Pokémon who don't have Mega forms, which are the most deserving of one? And since it appears that certain pokémon with one existing Mega will get another, which ones should absolutely get 2 Megas?

It has taken me ages to write 😛 it was my intention to include all alternate forms that are somewhat permanent or that change a pokémon's type, as well as the regional variants that cannot evolve further (ie I included both OG Linoone and Obstagoon, since Linoone from Hoenn cannot evolve). Of course, it's possible that I may have done mistakes, if you notice some feel free to point them out to me! 😁

i kinda doubt regional forms would get them though
I would honestly break that up into multiple polls, it’s just so long it constantly freezes and lags trying to load
How do you determine which pokemon is more ‘deserving’ of a mechanic? Personally I feel like categories of pokemon are more easy to attribute deserving to rather than specific pokemon, such as starters, regional birds, gym pokemon, etc.. I have a feeling this will be answered more as a popularity poll than which pokemon is more deserving.
Realistically I think pre-gen-7 mons are all pretty equally entitled to a mega, with gen 7+ pokemon being very slightly less as they weren’t even around when megas were introduced. I’m not going to be answering the actual poll because I really can’t be bothered going through 200+ pokemon picking 5 and 4 for everything.

I won’t be voting because the poll is apparently too long, but my only real wishful thinking pick is Krookodile. It’s my favorite, so I’d love to see it get some love in the form of a Mega Evolution…Though it probably doesn’t need it as much.

Just to explain my voting pattern, I don’t believe a single Pokémon should have more than one Mega, so for the second page I just put 1 on every one. I maintain that it was a mistake to give out two Megas to one species to begin with.
I also am of the opinion that no legendaries, pseudos, or starter Pokémon should have Megas either, and I’d say at least a good half of the Pokémon that have received Mega Evolutions are bad Mega Evolution candidates.
