Gigantamax Garbodor debuts on Nov 1st!
Garbodor is a poison type Gmax, super-effective on Fairy & Grass Pokemon. Both types have powerful counters from other types (Steel, Fire,.) available in the Game, and Garbodor has an average attack stat. Gmax Garbodor will be effective on the particular Fairy/Grass typing.
As the Gmax boss, Garbodor has slightly higher Attack stat than Gmax Lapras and slightly lower Defense stat. Of the 4 charge moves it has, Gunk Shot (with 130 power & 3s Cooldown) is the one to watch out for, Body Slam & Seed Bomb (with 50 & 55 power) has a 2s Cooldown.
The counters list is almost similar to Eternatus’
🧿 Dmax Alakazam is the top damage dealer (& in WINDY weather), closely followed by Dmax Latios & Excadrill. Excadrill outperforms in the SUNNY weather.
🧿 Zamazenta Crowned and fellow steel types are the recommended tanks as they resist most moves. Shadow Claw is an Elite Fast TM move for Dmax Metagross.
🧿 Dmax Blissey is our best generalist Tank 🪖 & one of our 4 viable Healers (Dmax Wailord, Gmax Snorlax, Gmax Lapras). Lapras and Wailord needs to watch out for Seed Bomb.
Other than the listed Pokémon,
🧿 Eternatus, Gmax Inteleon & Genger are decent attackers next to the listed ones. Gmax/Dmax Gengar is a good tank vs 3/4 moves (Gunk Shot still hits hard) as Gengar 2x resists Poison & Normal, along with 1x to Grass.
