I run a small YouTube channel for pack openings and just general hobbying, so I have a ton of cards. Decided to make 250 packs for giving out to give back to my community.
Each pack has 8-10 commons, 4-5 uncommon, 2 holo rares, 3 reverses, and 1 foreign uncommon card (I opened a bunch of the Chinese 151 set recently) all guaranteed. I then made 50 of them have an EX/V/VSTAR/VMAX “chase”, including some stuff that kids will love.
I even made one “god pack”, which is just all ex/vstar/vmax, and I made sure to include 4 charizards.

This community is deranged. I’m not a fan of scalpers either, but it’s gotten to the point where if you open more than 10 packs a month, people will call you a scalper. This isn’t the first time I’ve seen it, but it will hopefully be the last since I’m gonna unsub. I was already tired of seeing 15 “scalpers boo” posts a day, but now I got to see it in posts that have nothing to do with scalpers? Nah.
I will continue peacefully collecting with a deaf ear turned to this community.
Ngl, I feel like the people posting negative comments are the actual scalpers. And, theyre mad because youre giving away their scalped money for free to kids who are gonna absolutely love this. Idc how many down votes this comment gets me, you’re a legend and thats what matters.
That’s awesome, for the last few years, we’d buy the halloween pokemon cards, but never got trick or treaters. This year several families with kids moved in, so we’re hopeful we get some this year. We’ve got about 25 packs from last years set that we’re going to be putting together with some candy to give out.
If I got this as a kid I’d be so ecstatic!! I bet even more now, since it’s so hard for kids to participate in the hobby nowadays. Very very awesome

Me and my son just put a pair of commons/holos facing each other in a penny sleeve.
There’s the occasional decent card but for the most part they’re commons etc

This is a wicked idea! If I was a kid and somebody did this oh you bet thats the first house we hit every year after that haul! Like we did with the places who handed out the full sized candy bars.
This is awesome! I make these for our little free libraries around town! This way I’m giving out JTG sleeved boosters, I snagged a case at $5 a pack. Hopefully we don’t get too many kids 😂

That’s nice. I did the Halloween packs for my neighborhood last year. I hope the kids won’t be disappointed this year since I’ll be taking my son out Trick or Treating for the first time.
I was disappointed that the TCG didn’t release the trick or treat packs again this year. Those are so fun! Glad your neighborhood kids will have a chance at some 🙂
I hope your experience goes better than ours. I did this for a few years including a flyer promoting local leagues. Some kids were excited, but many declined them/ were disappointed or only interested in if any of the cards were worth big money. Found tons of the cards around the neighborhood on the ground after one year and never did it again.
That’s awesome! My son would be over the moon if he got this! He has sensory issues so he doesn’t eat a lot of the candy he ends up getting.

This is such a cool idea, imagine being the house giving away Pokemon cards. You’re like 3 steps above the full-sized bar house.
My wife and I do something similar, we put together 200-300 5-card packs, at least one holo in each. This is a great idea given it’s so hard for most people to find cards on shelves these days!
