Positioning of pokemon during rocket battles has changed

I noticed this when doing a rocket leader. Usually I swap straight into the pokemon in position 2 to utilise the stun lock but instead it brought in the pokemon that was in position 3. I thought I'd just mis-clicked but it happened on the next grunt so I took screenshots. Kartana, in position 2, should be above Palkia during the battle but is below. I'm not sure why Niantic have changed this, it's completely pointless and has screwed up my muscle memory no end!
