My wife and I were collectors when we were kids but haven’t been into Pokemon in YEARS… well I recently got the itch back due to Reddit.
Mixed emotions on this post, I’m anti-scalper, refuse to pay above msrp. I recently told my wife a story about how I walked into Target and realized a drop was about to happen due to a small line forming at customer service. I was about 10th in line and sadly I was one of the ones left without anything to purchase. Product ran out before I got to the counter. Others were able to snag some ETBs and Prismatic booster boxes. Oh well… the hunt continues.
Well we’re sitting home watching tv one evening when we hear a door knock. Package delivery. My wife walks over to me with a Walmart package and opens it up… a Prismatic booster box! I’m overwhelmed with joy when it hit me, there’s no way she caught a drop before me when I’ve been the one on the hunt. Sure enough she had paid $60 for it. Not ridiculous but still above msrp.
So I’m trying to hide the disappointment about her paying above price but show her that I’m excited to rip the packs and that I have an amazing wife :).
Well… after seeing the pulls, I quickly got over it…
