I was setting up a spawn overload in area 20 and an alpha garchomp used dig right as I was leaving the zone. I saved and reset and managed to make its new spawner outside of the wild zone. Not sure if there are any useful applications for this, but neat to know it's possible!

It seems like there is a failsafe that prevents it from entering a Pokemon center, but this can also be bypassed via dig, so it is actually possible to trap the alpha Garchomp inside the Pokemon center. It seems to be coded that it is impossible for a Pokemon to have its spawn set inside a PC because when I saved and reset, it was just outside the building
u/austinjohnplays dk if this is useful or not
I believe this also works for other pokemon that know dig. I also recreated this bug in one of the earlier zones but I don’t remember which one or which pokemon
Does it go away or reset if you fly away/despawn it?

Yes, this also happened to me with Diggersby!
Not a bug,dragon/ground
Garchomp has breached containment, this is not a drill!
I actually just tested this! You can walk them pretty far if you keep saving and reloading! I got mine to the Pokemon Lab
Whete did you get the outfit?? It looks exactly like the Phish pattern!
Idk but a npc does say that pokemon that knows dig, bounce etc. Can come out
this is cool as hell lol
That’s not a bug it’s a shark
Pretty sure Garchomp is Dragon/Ground not Bug /s
I thought for a moment.. nevermind.
Any Pokemon with Dig/Fly/Bounce can get out.
The most interesting thing about this bug imo is that it’s actually mentioned in game by an NPC. During that Diggersby Holovator quest, the NPC actually says something like, “Yeah that makes sense, Diggersby can dig underneath the Wild Zone barriers.”
So it might’ve been a bug discovered and purposely left in by devs.
Sir thats a Dragon
I wonder if it’s possible to do this in multiple stages and lead it to spawn in an entirely different wild zone? If so what if you could do this with multiple Pokémon? Like anything that can bounce/dig/fly. Could we just massively overload one wild area?
I took an alpha Gourgeist from its static spawner alllllllll the way to inside Zone 20 just for the lols
So if you lock it in the Pokemon center, can you shiny hunt it?
