To be fair, there is breeding in the canon pokemon games starting with Gen 2.
Biology lesson: when canines of most species breed, they tie and then do an about-face like this. But Passimian are primates, not canines, so….. not sure what’s up with this….

I have wondered if they ever plan to incorporate a breeding mechanic in Pokémon Go.
