I've always wanted to create a pokémon based on Dolly, the first cloned sheep.
The initial plan was that it divides into two monsters as it evolves, and you end up with a two-in-one pokémon like Tandemaus.
Along the way, I decided to make another Ninjask and Shedinja situation where one pokémon evolves into two separate monsters. The thing is, this is a clone, so I wanted it to be two separate monsters but still of the same kind.
I wanted the clone to have a high chance of becoming a shiny, to motivate the player to obtain it. And an ability that works best in double battles.
Now, to explain it evolving into a one-headed final evo in case there was no empty slot when Dobly evolves, we can simply say that the surviving Ewenai killed or ate it while fighting for that one available spot.
As for its type, I can only think of it being normal. Though I wanted the final evo to be part fighting, I don't see enough reason for it.
