Gmax Snorlax returns on December 14th!
Snorlax has great bulk, with only a single weakness to Fighting and 2x resistance to Ghost, Snorlax can fit into many battle parties as a dedicated Tank/Healer. Of the handful Healers available now, few comes with unique type resistances, Snorlax however shares the typing with Blissey which has significantly more HP, still Snorlax can perform well in its role and is a slightly more offensive option.
Snorlax has slightly more attack & defense stat than Gmax Garbodor as a Gmax boss. This battle’s trickiness comes from Snorlax’s 7 charge moves, makes it tough to relobby for optimal moveset, so its good have a team that can navigate through this. The moveset has 3 nukes – Hyper Beam (4s), Skull bash (3s) & Earthquake (3.5s), though relatively slower, tanks with 0.5s fast moves are necessary to avoid repeated hits.
🍥 Gmax Machamp is the top attacker by a margin, followed by Dmax Urshifu (both Single & Rapid strike forms are viable with Counter, Rapid strike form resists Steel – from water side – no weaknesses, single strike form is 1x weak to fighting – from dark side).
🍥 Dmax Blissey is the best Tank 🪖 & one of our viable Healers (with Gmax Snorlax, Gmax Lapras & Dmax Wailord). Both Zamazenta & Zacian are strong tanks, they’re both susceptible to earthquake, good to pair them with Blissey or a flying type tank like Corviknight.
Other than the listed Pokémon,
🍥 Dmax Alakazam (with Counter – Elite tm move) does the same damage as #5 Hitmonlee. Eternatus is good on WINDY weather, Gmax Inteleon on RAINY weather.
🍥 Some pokemon can act as specialist tanks due to their resistance to specific moves. 🔹️ Gmax/Dmax Gengar 3x resists Fighting & 2x resists Normal, 🔹️ Gmax/Dmax Charizard (Dragon Breath – Elite tm move) 1x resists Ground, Steel & Fighting, 🔹️ Gmax Butterfree 3x resists ground & 2x resists Fighting. Dmax Metagross (Fury Cutter) is a slightly weaker Zacian. They all perform well along with Blissey.
