Back when I was ten or eleven I collected and played MTG. When I went off to college I sold my Moxes and Black Lotus for $600 and bought a pair of shoes, two pairs of jeans and a few shirts….. I think about this often. Fast forward 20 years and this year my 11 year old daughter and I started to collect Pokemon together. I was in a local card shop talking to someone buying Pokemon, he told me that he buys all year and opens them all on Christmas. I instantly decided we would do the same. Packapalooza 2025 was born. We are 10 days away from opening this monstrosity. We will definitely post hits afterwards. Pack count is about to hit 800 and I think that number is about locked it. Damn Walmart had to drop those Paldean boxes, put another dent in the wallet. Wish us luck.

Yesterday, I got through about 90 packs with a 4 and 6 year old before they were tired and ready for the next thing.

So worth it! I saved 40 different boosters for my birthday since well, milestone, did a joke before every pack, “I’m gonna get Bubblemew,” and then I shockingly did get Bubblemew. Was awesome.

I have such incredible, fond memories of my dad and I opening packs back in the late 90s. It was one of the first things we really bonded over and I always thought my dad was the coolest because he had genuine interest in the cards. What I mean to say is that your daughter will remember this forever!
And not a single alt art was pulled….. 😆 but nah bro, I hope you pull many!!!
