This is a severe nerf. While Coalossal is still usable, it was already not going to be top meta due to its incredibly vulnerable typing. Incinerate would have given it good play without making it too good (strong but clunky to use and vulnerable). Fire Spin is a decent move, but it’s now nowhere near as interesting as it could have been.
Carkol already got nerfed yesterday, losing Incinerate for Fire Spin, but now it loses that for Tackle, forcing it to run Smack Down, pretty much dooming it to obscurity.

Sad, I had such high hope for the line and was looking forward to hunting a good one. Now it’s just hunting one to sit in my collection.
I would not be surprised if a future Rolycoly CD gave Coalossal Incinerate back.

I was excited for tomorrow to hunt a good pvp one ugh. This kills the hype a lot.
This makes me sad. Coalossal was part of my Sword team and she totally own it.
That sucks. I hate running smack down. Fire spin, meh, but incinerate or ember are much better.
With an awful typing like that, those two were probably never going to be top tier meta anyway, so why do this?

Ya without Incinerate these basically have no chance of seriously competing with Macargo now.
It’s got good stat product but being double weak to two of the most common typings in the current meta was always going to hold it back. No reason to hamstring it to this extent.
We all saw this coming. Aside from them having a really bad offensive dual typing, their stats were just too good.
