I mean quite literally it doesn’t cost anything to separate.
(Though there should be a disclaimer that the energy is required to re-fuse.)
So how much does it cost to separate? It’s on you if you automatically assume that to include re-fusing again š¤·
What is misleading about it? They are not lying when they say that separating is free if you want to unfuse later, people assuming that refusing will also be free is another thing

For sure they are out to get our money. They are a business. They will always try to be as unclear as possible. It sucks.

Im never getting the fusion done. 5 raids in row now, 75 balls, countless berries, great and excellent curve balls and kyurem always escapes.
I mean yeah, i thought i could eventually just refuse my ?Necrosma and Lunala in the past event if i ever wanted my Lunala back. I was careful enough to search for it first however
I get your point, given that we have many things that use resources (well…megas) that have a way to be used freely as well makes it seem a bit confusing considering the fuse materials are also called “energy”
My god, PokƩmon go players find anything and everything to be upset about.
Especially after the release of Zacian and Zanmazenta, who can travel back and forth for free.
It’s downright idiotic, considering that when you tap the separate button on DM/DW Necrozma, it says you will require more energy to fuse again, but for some dumbass reason, it doesn’t say so on Kyurem fusions…

You are absolutely right. I did it with dawn wing necrozma and was so sad after.
Why does Niantic refuse to let us re-fuse
Technically that is 100% true, separating costs nothing.
On the other hand I struggle to find reasons to ever want to unfuse. All the Zekroms/Reshirams that anyone should ever fused should be the level they were caught at, not shiny, no special move, essentially worthless on their own.
So.. I guess my shiny zekrom to my kyurem without really knowing it was redundant on a shiny. I had to elite TM the Kyurem to make the fusing happen. (Keep that in mind.)
I decided āok same Kyurem, letās unfuse and refuse with a regular Zekromāā¦
When I got DOUBLE the energy and fused again, little did I know, unfusing would remove my move I had elite Timing and that I needed.. to make it work like it supposed to.
I was so mad.
This whole PokĆ©mon fusion is ā¦ sketchy.

I spent like 5 hours in que on pokegenie (no one plays in my area) and used all allowed remote raid passes, just to seperate by accident, and believing i could re-fuse. Now im like halfway to Kyurem black, and back to zero on white, and probably need to wait 2+ years to get them. That sucks so bad
I knew there was a reason I kept enough to have both fused and separate versions
I did this a few weeks ago because I used a good reshiram and I didnāt realise that the Reshiram IVās didnāt matter so I wanted to change to my weakest reshiram. Such a waste I felt so dejected.
People in these comments getting on their knees for niantic for whatever reason when itās a basic requirement to have everything detailed on the potential of doing said defusing and that it should be stated you will have to repay the energy cost to refuse again you losers wanna defend them with your lives and this is why theyāre such an ass company is because morons keeping bending over for them you shouldnāt even have to repay the energy cost to refuse them to begin but people for some reason will defend that with their lives like the good little muppets they are
I hit that before, contacted support and they said sorry hahaha bro I paid money for these raids. At least help me somehow šš„ŗ
Yes I completely agree I just finished the raid hour and learned this the hard way. They didn’t tell us in any significant way that we need the move or that unfusing would take it away. Why not just make it so every kyreum caught had the move? The worse part they do it intentionally and for what? A few extra buck? Screw you Niantic

Accidentally unfused the next day after the last white/black kyurem event, was not able to get the energy until today. I was so pissed, support did not refund the energy either.

Yes, this and not being able to use certain moves unless you teach glaciate before but you canāt teach after fusion. I thought I was good then I read about the loss of fusion energy on separation so Iām stuck with a mid Kyurem Black. Or I have to grind all over again.
All mine escaped after we defeated it, turned to regular kyurem 5 times

I know it sucks and I feel bad for dude because of how little energy raids give but to not think they would make you use more energy to fuse again is wild you canāt do any type of transformation without spending some type of energy like theyād really let you do it for free
