These are the first stages of my starters for the Coassen Region based on animals from my home region, they have a two connecting concepts that will be more fleshed out in the designs of their later stages. The first is a theme of the member of a royal court, the second is acts of goodness towards your community. I’ll elaborate in their dex entries.
Berribat- The Bat Prince Pokemon-
Grass-Flying
Berribat spend their time collecting berries and fashioning crude jewellery from them. They have incredibly dexterous talons that can disembowel any fruit within a couple seconds.
Prankaroo- The Cheeky Pokemon-
Fire
Prankaroo’s internal body temperature runs at roughly 50 degrees Celsius, the Pokemon often seen with its hands in it pouch collecting this heat in its hands. Be wary, if a Prankaroo ever offers you a handshake, steer clear.
Cepharing- The Poison Ring Pokemon-
Water-Poison
Cepharing secretes a deadly poison from the glowing rings on the ends of its tentacles. This causes the Pokemon a great deal of loneliness as even the coral it clings on to feed, withers away at its touch. This Pokemon has developed camouflage to avoid being seen and scolded for its unintentional destruction.
These Pokemon are the monarch, jester, and executioner of a royal court. Though they are still young and are unsure of their place in the animal kingdom at this time. The second theme will be clear in the final forms.
