I'm pretty much solely a vintage collector but the Phantasmal Mega is the one modern card I had to get.
The Mega SIR cost me $600 through an ebay auction plus grading and equipped with the Daybreak GradedGuard.
Got the 1st Ed Base Set Charizard for $5300 in January 2024. Was a really clean looking PSA 6 that did not deserve that harsh of grade so thought it was a great opportunity to crack and cross grade over to BGS.
