I am learning to play the Pokémon trading card game for the first time with my six-year-old son. We spent the morning building our first decks using a combination of base set and just a few others from other generations, I was sure I was about to beat him and then he pulled this DugTrio card that seems super overpowered and ended up coming back for the win. Am I seeing this right that it only needs one energy to perform 50 damage, and then it can be impervious to all damage on the next turn if you flip heads? I put some other cards we are playing with next to it so you can see just how overpowered it is. These other cards take many energy to do 50 damage. Most single energy moves only do 10 damage, why does this car do a whole 50? Yes it is an evolved Pokémon, but it still seems just way better than most other cards that we have due to its very cheap energy cost.
