So I saw this on the Pokemon Centre website and thought, hmm that's an interesting choice of color for a sticker/logo to mark the 30th anniversary… (Bit Peakychu/Mimikyu vibes?) But it got me thinking some more…
Very much stretching my imagination here GameFreak, but given how ZA practically opened the floodgates on Shinies (after likely years of genned ones being in Home etc anyway), I've asked myself what was the purpose of doing this, really? Legitimate shiny hunting methods were made easier after the introduction of the Matsuda Method in gen 4, chain fishing and LGPE catch combos, and other measures, but it's been nowhere near as easy as it's been made in the most recent release as far as I'm aware.
And so I wondered, what if Gen 10 drops a new variant of Shinies for each mon, let's call them Supers for arguments sake, or alternatively a new powerup gimmick for shinies exclusively even? (It's the only thing I think that could top the return of Megas which fans could consistently unite behind, just maybe.)
Remember how Gen 8 tried a different shiny sparkle variant & odds with the squares animation? Albeit short lived.
Honestly, I have wanted a Crystal Onix since I was old enough to be a trainer haha. So, do Super Shinies have a chance or shall I bin the wishful thinking? ✨🙏😭
