I want to make my very first fakemon region dubbed the thalassea ocean based on the oceans and anything connected to them but I need your help
Questions:
For starters… the starters (get it?) Grass is easy it’s kelp … duh Fire is obviously an undersea volcano but idk what animal but for water idk I can’t decide between a turtle with a reef on its back or a sea monkey but literal
How do I do the evolutions
How do I know how many pokemon am I supposed to put in my Pokedex
How do I do the pseudo legendaries
How do I do the legendaries
Can you guys think of names for the pokemon ideas I’ve mentioned ( maybe pre evolutions for magmosa and sailantrum or a middle evolution pupa stage between dicrab and lobstrike)
(Im thinking the unevolved form of the regional dog should be called carpup which is a mix of carp and pup)
Ideas so far
Regional variants such as thalassean dwebble and crustle, thalassean ekans, thalassean grimer and muk with thalassean muk and grimer now being based on water (don’t ask how that would work it’s pokemon) Ash as the final battle (yes THAT ash cuz it kinda bothered me he ain’t in a main series game)
Ash’s team
Pikachu
Charizard
Sceptile
Greninja (later becomes ash greninja)
Infernape
Blastoise (ash’s squirtle now fully evolved but still got those glasses)
If any fire type has fire on its body that part will be covered whenever that pokemon is following you in the water
There will be a bug dragon type being a dragonfly since gamefreak’s too scared to do it
There will be biomes like icy water, mangroves, swamps, rivers, some coastal areas, etc
The fossil pokemon will be magmosa (resurrected from the fin fossil and is a fire type mosasaurus from undersea volcanoes) and sailantrum (a water type spinosaurus resurrected from the tail fossil)
The early route bird is gonna be a seabird based on a puffin
The early route rodent/mammal is gonna be an otter named aquatter that evolves into flotter (pronounced fl-otter)
The pika clone will be a water/electric type beaver named ampeaver
The regional dog is gonna be a pupfish that evolves into a dogfish
There will be a middle evolution between remoraid and octillery named sharkannon
The regional bug will be a crab that evolves into a pupa stage named barnacoon (barnacle + cocoon) which evolves into a lobster with the evolution line being based off of scubug and scubian from this video (go to 7:08)
although I will turn scubug into dicrab and scubian into lobstrike (dicrab is scubug but ✨crab✨ the name being diving + crab)
