hi! i’m not really a collector of pokemon cards, but i used to play with it alot when i was still a kid. though i’m pretty sure all of my old cards were fake, as my parents bought them at the wet market near our old home. i didn’t mind at all, it never really mattered to me when i had such a fun time playing all day with the kids from our neighborhood
currently i’m a big fan of chiikawa (my fave is hachiware), and on a random day, i learned that nagano illustrated 1 pokemon card. i had jokingly thought that if i ever came across it, i might buy it. I don’t know, it just felt like a symbol of some sort to me? Like it was a mixture of my childhood and current interests.
Anyways, that thought was probably a year or so ago. It just so happens that my university had a fair today… and guess what i saw someone selling… yea… the nagano simisear card… they had their card binder too and a couple of others in display cases (it was my first time seeing one so i was really :0 <— like this). A bunch of students were actually ignoring the card, with one even saying it looked ugly 😭 but as soon as i saw it i really felt the need to buy it HAHAHA.
so Yea.. i now have a pokemon card… idk if this means ill buy more but i’m really happy with this one :))!
