I’ve not bought any Pokemon cards since I was about 6 & in the height of the late-90’s OH MY GOD IT’S POKEYMEN boom; Been enjoying the TCGP app so thought I’d buy a pack for old times sake – as you can see I have ZERO SELF CONTROL.
Also – GOD DAMN POKEMON CARDS ARE EXPENSIVE NOW. The guy in my local card shop was an absolute gent & walked me through collecting & why it’s spiked for ages whilst I just stared at him like a 31 year old idiot. Originally went in for one pack last Monday but it’s become my new hyper focus & I think I went back to buy packs on my lunch 4 out of 5 days last week. I picked up the 151 & Destined Rivals packs because: nostalgia & LOOK ITS HO OH & MEW!
Haven’t had the time to sit down & actually, y’know, open them – but I did open one of the Journey Together packs on my lunch break & got this sweet Clefairy! FUN! My bank account is now off to have a little cry & a lie down.
