I always thought it was so bizarre how they got little to no fanfare or story importance when they were added considering they are based on Legendary Pokemon. They feel about a shafted as Zygarde was in the original X/Y.
If they do another Legends game where the primary setting is one location or area and also a sequel to the generation, they should do Paldea. Have the game structured with school-life mechanics as you go through the academy/Mesagoza in the present. Then explore through Area Zero in the distant past due to time/space distortions as you uncover the mystery of the first expedition as a new mysterious hire from the future.
But above all else these Paradox trios need something in the story to set them up.
