Gen 1 Full Art Binder

Finally completed my Gen 1 full art binder, after a lot of card shows, FB marketplace trades, and online purchases. My goal was to have a full art for every Gen 1 Pokemon that has a full art card.

I didn't include variants of gen 1 Pokemon from different regions. I didn't not include tag teams because I didn't want any other generations muddling the binder. And I know I don't have the Dugtrio from Ascended Heroes. I'm waiting for the price to come down more.

    Nice! I’ve been doing the same but in Pokédex order, instead of leaving blanks I am using base set cards to fill in for the pokemon that haven’t gotten IRs yet. It kills me when the give psyduck and meowth their 3rd illustration and there’s so many cool gen 1s still without any

    edit: yeah okay so missed that you were only collecting the ones with full arts. very cool! i’m kind of surprised not all of them have full arts yet lol

    This is probably a stupid question. I managed to pull two full arts from Ascending Heroes and Journey Together (Psyduck and Ribombee), every card i get out of the pack get’s into a sleeve and then into a binder. Is that a good way to store them or should I buy a binder for top loaders and put the more rare cards into them?

    I have the top loaders, it’s just that my binder wont fit a card in them.

    Ugh I love that Chansey card so much 🙂 great collection! I’d love to make a full art binder of the original 151 but since we’re still missing a fair amount I haven’t been in a big rush to start buying all the singles lol

    Well you are only showing 87 of 151 pokemon so I’d say you are missing just under half of them…

    Hi, I have a Pokédex binder where I try to have alt-arts / IRs whenever possible. Some cards that aren’t alt-arts / IRs, but you might want anyway are:
    – Nidoqueen: there’s an Ancient Trait card (not full art, but you have the Tentacool en Fearow as well)
    – Butterfree and Tauros: they both have a Regular V and Full art cards

    Oh my God!!! Those cards are gorgeous!!! Congratulations!!! I’m also a huge fan of G1 cards. A while ago I found a box with the ones I used to play with as a kid with my brother: they’re from the early sets. I organized them all into binder pages (in the order I like 😄) and I’m trying to complete the ones I’m missing, but now seeing yours makes me want to try to get them too. Are they from a specific set, or from different ones? I’m a bit rusty 🥲😁, imagine, I haven’t bought cards since the ’90s. I’m using Pokellector now and I’m amazed… or maybe scared 😅🤣 at how many sets have been released. Apparently Pokémon never really went out of style.😎
