last year I bought three boxes of 151 to pull the Charmander art rare. I was completely obsessed with that card, i knew i had to pull it. so you can imagine my utter devastation when the Charmander was not in any of those boxes. as i lay on the ground, empty wrappers all around me, feeling absolutely gutted. I got an unexpected consolation prize. I pulled the poliwhirl art rare out of each of those three boxes. I don’t know if it was some cosmic sign, but it felt like the universe was telling me this is your card, this is the one meant to have. looking back, i can honestly say now i’m glad it worked out the way that it did. poliwhirl is such a quirky, funny pokemon that i never appreciated before but i do now. i love these poliwhirl brothers, they are the trio that I didn’t know I needed 😂
