   Weird as it sounds, it is probably because Nintendo actively does promote the Switch as its own separate product brand, while Nintendo itself might refer to the main corporate body.

   So they might be considered separate as a technicality depending on this survey’s criteria and rules

   Nintendo Switch being more popular amongst teens than Nintendo itself isn’t as crazy as it sounds.

   Switch is the best selling console of all time in Japan and it’s been out for 9 years. They likely haven’t played any Nintendo console before the Switch era.

    Nintendo Switch beating Pokemon isn’t a surprise because you need a switch to play Pokemon in the first place, and not everyone who has a switch plays Pokemon. Some are into Mario, or Smash Bros, or Zelda.

    But Switch beating Nintendo itself 😂 holy shit the irony.
