So my son and I ran across some Pokemon Day collection sets at Dollar General so we got 13 of them (before anyone says anything there was a full display with like 30 sets on it so we didnt clear out the store). Anyways after opening up everything we ended up with 25 Phantasmal Flames packs and 14 Mega Evolutions packs. You probably noticed that adds up incorrectly except one of the sets had 2 mega evolutions packs and 1 phantasmal flames pack instead of the usual reversed order.
The thing thats the most odd to me and prompted me to post though is the amount and types of pulls we got. From the 25 Phantasmal packs we got 9 hits (see pictures) which were 1 sir, 4 ir and 4 ex not to bad. Then from the 14 packs of mega we got 10 hits (see pictures) which were 7 ultra rares, 1 ir and 2 ex. It seemed weird to us and made us have some questions that hopefully some of you guys may be able to answer.

Are the pull rates for phantasmal that much different than Mega?

How does the pokemon company decide which packs have hits and which dont and do they increase the amount of hits in these special sets.
3 Anyone that has opened up some of these pokemon day 2026 collection boxes what have you seen in the types and amounts of hits from each set?
