Pokemon Go Shiny Kyogre Raid News For Water Festival Event 2018

“POKEMON GO fans can battle in Shiny Kyogre raids this week as part of the new Water Festival event.

Pokemon Go fans can look forward to a very busy June, with Niantic confirming the return of a 2017 event, as well as the news that it will coincide with the upcoming Community Day.

One of the big reveals includes the launch of the Pokemon Go Water Festival, which boasts its own range of special rewards and bonuses.

Not only will Trainers be able to catch more Water-types during the event, but they will also get the chance to battle in Shiny Kyogre raids.

Fans have been confirming encounters with the special variant Pokemon today, with Niantic even mentioning the new bonus.

“Chasing pink whales! Don’t forget, in addition to Shelder, Wailmer and Karp have shiny variants and are increased during the event,” One fans shared on Reddit.

As mentioned above, like with Adventure Week, there will also be other Shiny Pokemon to catch during the Water Festival.

Here’s more from Niantic, who reveal: “Raid Battles will also feature powerful Water-type Pokémon for the duration of the celebration, including the exciting return of the Legendary Pokémon Kyogre.

In terms of rewards, Pokemon Go players can also enjoy 3× Stardust for catching Water-type Pokémon during the event.

“And, if you challenge Kyogre during the event and come out victorious, there is a chance you’ll encounter its Shiny form,” Niantic explains.

It has also been confirmed that 2 km Eggs will hatch Pocket Monsters like Totodile, Mudkip, and Corphish, with Double Candy and Stardust being offered for every Egg hatched.

It’s a pretty great lineup of bonuses for those who play every day, with the event scheduled to run for a while.

“Water-type Pokémon such as Magikarp and Wailmer appearing more frequently in the wild,” Niantic adds.

“Some lucky Trainers may even encounter a rare Shiny Shellder for the very first time during the event!

“Plus, enjoy Field Research tasks highlighting Water-type Pokémon until June 21 at 1:00 p.m. PDT.”

The new event runs from today until Thursday, June 21, when it
will end around 9pm, BST.

This means that it will overlap with the June Community Day, which is scheduled to kickoff on Saturday, June 16.

The three-hour event includes it own rewards, with 3× catch XP and an increased spawn of Larvitars planned.

Combining the two events means that there will be a serious amount of XP available to those hoping to rank up in style.”
