After a bit of backtracking, the trainers continue surfing across the Northern Channel to an icy tundra area.
On the way they meet the single stage Steel/Water Perigoos. This bird prefers to stay deep under the water where its under intense Pressure, but when it dares to surface it can trigger quite the the Drizzle. Its most notable stat is its immense HP value, giving it a mostly defensive niche.
Also in the icy sea trainers may encounter Squim, a Water type inspired by Tentacool. When it evolves to Squiperm it gains the Poison type, and at its full evolution of Squiraken it has good special attack and bulk. Unaware and Dry Skin give this Fakemon a few unique roles.
Touching down on the snow packed land, trainers may encounter Muxe. This Normal/Ice single stage Fakemon packs big HP and Attack backed up by the defense boosting abilities of Fur Coat and Stamina.
Finally for Part 1 we find another hooved Ice type in Burra. With Snow Cloak and Inner Focus, the fully evolved Burwintry can contribute in or out of the Snow weather condition. Its high Attack and Speed make it a fragile glass (ice?) cannon.
Next time a few more mons found in the far north before trainers begin making their way to Victory Road and the Elite Four.
