Silksong Project 03: Choironch!

Another Pokemon from my Silksong project–Wyronch's final branched evolution is something completely different! When Wyronch is exposed to a Silken Core, it evolves into something almost antithetical to its own nature: Choironch–a slow, bulky Electric/Psychic special attacker!

Choironch is one of many anomalous evolutions caused by Silken Cores in the region. All of them carry the same ability: Harmonize, which increases the Pokemon's highest stat upon entering the battle based on the number of Pokemon with the same ability on the team. When large amounts of these Pokemon congregate, they will seemingly be compelled to "sing" in the direction of the largest mountain in the region, Mt. Atrium. Within these symphonies, Choironch typically take the role of percussion, whirling the drill on it's back in a staccato rhythm. These performances have become a spectacle in the region, with large crowds of people often gathering to watch them.

In the past, "performances" typically happened once every one or two years– but recently, they have been happening more and more often. Most people consider this to be a good omen, but there are some dissenting voices here and there who think otherwise…

As a design, Choironch is based off two Silksong enemies: the Minister, and the Conchfly. These enemies, in game, have basically no relation to eachother. There is a story reason for merging them together here, but I cannot give them, as they are spoilers. If you're familiar with Silksong's lore tho, you should at least be able to guess when these guys came to be and what the purpose of their singing is!
