POKEMON ORLANDO REGIONAL CHAMPION DISQUALIFIED FOR CELEBRATING LIKE WOLFE GLICK!

Pokemon GO Orlando Regional Champion “Firestar73” loses championship title after a mild pop off similar to WolfeyVGC 2025 EUIC celebration. The 2026 Pokemon Orlando Regional had a lot of weird unsporting punishments, including Makani Tran in the Pokemon TCG. Also a Pokemon VGC player got DQ’d for cheating at 2026 Orlando Regionals, lol.

  1. Talking purely of celebrations, I don’t even think Wolfe’s celebration was over the top, it does show the favoritism though since it was multiple different judges giving game losses.

  2. This judge needs to be looked into. Sounds like he had money riding. It wasn't even a crazy freakout. And wasn't it the second set of five games? Fire that damn judge.

  3. Corruption with Favoritism. Just wow, never to see this happen. Wait, VGC is already corrupt enough.
Ty for telling me Verlis I’ve never been in touch with regional tournaments stuff because you know full of cheaters

  4. So you can't get excited when you win? Thats crazy!! If you win, yeah don't tease your opponent.. and just shake hands.. but you should be able to celebrate a win. That dude did no middle finger in the air like the other dude in the image. I feel like they make rules up as the tournament goes on.

  5. Important context as well, this was his first regional win. He was understandably happy and celebrated accordingly. Def does not deserve a game loss

  6. It doesn't matter what side of the aisle people are on the genning debate but I wish more people would see the clear uneven enforcement of rules from TPC. Someone thinks its unfair to ban someone for genning? I disagree personally, but why are the smaller names being punished for it and not the biggest players who have been proven? Either way you believe, there's still corruption happening

  7. If air-punching is a banned celebration, we don't need to watch this joke of an esport.

  8. This is why you want good vibes and the ideal thing to do when winning “ Stand proud ‘insert name here’ you were strong”

  9. In worlds 2024. In the top 8 of the TCG side. A guy by the name Ian Robb, playing a Regidrago deck got disqualified for a very similar celebratory win, that was deemed unsportsman like. Or not Disqualified per-sae. But a forced forfeit.
His opponent, Fernando Cifuentes, who technically lost all his games against him, went on to be the number 1 winner at worlds that year.

  10. It's so funny that people called out Wolf, people in the comments mostly agreeing with the call out, and then still hate on Verlis despite the fact he's the main one who's been calling this out for years. People will only hate on Wolf if it's not Verlisify doing the talking. That is just, wow.

It's also very weird for "pop offs" to be considered unsportsmanlike. It's a celebration for your own achievement and these are some of the most tame pop offs I've ever seen.

  11. Haven’t seen Wolfe’s celebration but the PoGo guy…that’s a completely normal level of excitement to winning a tournament. How was that worthy of a DQ? Kept waiting for him to do something egregious

  12. That is the smallest pop off ever, he even shakes hands at the end. What in the world? That's not unsportsman like AT ALL. I've seen 1000x more extreme in the Smash Bros community and it's all part of the fun. Wtffffff

  13. Now I'm also remembering that kid who was laughing because they asked his pronouns multiple times and got DQ'd. Glad to see official Pokemon events are still a fucking joke

  14. The Pokémon Company claims it's a meat beating action lol. They do not approve of interactions with one's meat.

  15. It's unsportmanslike to celebrate? What??
When the referees stand in the Confuse Ray too long.
This is baffling. That's what you EXPECT a champion to do. Have you ever watched soccer teams celebrating a goal? Race drivers?
They act like he took a bottle of champagne and let it go all over the table, destroying smartphones, cards and whatever.
