I FINALLY DID IT

I've been hunting down Galarian Moltres for so long now (my favourite legendary bird) but it kept on fleeing. After not finding an encounter for 3 months I decided to use my master ball on it today. Some people may think this is dumb but honestly I'm so happy I finally have one!

    If you think it’s a good decision, then it was! A master ball is there for you when YOU think it’s right to use it. You are happy, and that’s truly all that matters. Congrats !!!

    As a newbie, how should use a master ball?

    Surely it’s not a bad idea to use it for a Galarian bird because I’ve seen about 6 and they all flee even with gold raspberries and ultra ball… and do you know when the next masterball is available?

    Galarian birds are a great way to use master ball.

    I think this is the best use of masterball other than a great raid boss 100% IV down to last ball.

    I would do the same if it was articuno since its the only one in missing. Btw when i first encountered galarian zapdos i used a great ball cause i didnt know it was good lol, the thing is that i did catch it… Anyways Congrats!!

    I just recently came back to the game after falling off two years after release.

    First time the master ball was mentioned to me was accompanied by the advice, save it for the Legendary G birds.

    Definitely not a waste

    I just had one spawn, and it fled right after jumping out of an ultra ball. I read this post earlier today, then had it spawn, and just had to come on here and tell you lol

    Same, I’ve had several different encounters that always end in it disappearing. Last time, I decided when I encountered it again, I was gong to use my masterball.

    Those birds are why I have 4 Master Balls, which I just got the 4th like last week after completing the research.

    I found 1 G Moltres and caught it on my first ball, found 1 G Articuno in 2024 and it ran, and 1 G Zapdos like a month ago and it ran. I had the Master Balls but I still didn’t use them smh. I really should have used it. Then after catching one of each I can just use RNG to try to catch any more I see. Unless it’s a shiny in which case I hope I have enough balls at the time.

    Sweet! That’s also why I save my Masterballs. Got my first G bird when the AI first came out. I knew nothing about AI and did not know it was coming out. I touched theAI on the Home Screen while walking in a park and about 10 minutes later saw this Pokémon spawn and thought “what the hell is this?!” Touched it and thought “Moltres doesn’t look like this” so I used an ultra ball and a golden and caught it first throw. Terrible IV but waited till a friend also had one and we mirror lucky traded and got high IVs (93% & 91%). I rarely use AI so have seen only one Zapdos but it fled. Didn’t have Masterballs yet so I now have 6. Only for G birds.

    I’m also relatively new to the game. I don’t think I’ve seen a single Galarian bird and every time I’ve seen a regular one, it pops out of the ultra ball and runs away. Does anyone have tips on throwing excellent curveballs consistently? or getting these rare Pokemon to spawn? Thanks
