I used to treat Pokémon cards like a portfolio thinking everything had to be a long-term investment. It turns out that was a great way to add stress and kill the fun of collecting.
I’m a 35 yo male and got back into it after collecting as a kid thinking everything needed “investment potential.” About a year later I dropped that mindset and started collecting purely for the art which has been a way better experience.
I purchased and opened 20 packs of Korean Nihil and had some awesome pulls. I felt the same rush as English packs since I had 0 expectations. I even added them to my PC binder.
I think I may be switching to 90% Korean packs after this.
