For context, I never played FR or LG growing up. I loved the anime and had all the games but never these remakes. Now on the switch, and as adult, I got to play it. It’s been a blast, and today I became a champ. I let myself be a kid again and chose a team based on what I think 10 year old me would pick. Gengar is one of my favorites so Haunter was obvious, I never used Slowbro or Dragonite in any game, and I know 10 year old me would’ve used the birds. Honestly the elite four and Blue were such a challenge. I ended up using all my revives and full restores and it came down to Blue’s Alakazam vs my Moltres. No more full restores, no more revives. Just anime-like final battle. My heart was racing and it made me feel like such a kid again. Slowbro has to be one of my new favorites, it’s a tank. Dragonite was a challenge to level up but worth it. Thank you NINTENDO for putting it on the switch.
