is there an industry-wide removal of QA, and just letting players do QA for free?

The bugs are incredibly minor. If you choose to believe the current social media trend of hating new releases then just leave, find something else. It’s a good game, genuinely.

So insanely disappointed by the performance at launch. Otherwise it’s decently fun. Kinda wish it didn’t lean into the mobile game aesthetic. Did they sincerely not develop different UI for each console version?

This isn’t some kind of “an error was made” thing to apologize for. This is a fundamentally bad job, and it’s done montly with intent.
This game launched with the lowest Pokemon count since Gen 1. Things they showed in the trailer are not part of release, which suggests to me that they are eithger intentionally holding back things that are ready or they removed them from a planned release because they are still trying to make things work that were part of the franchise for a long time.
Most of the issues are direct decisions by the developers. I’m still trying to understand how making the game “free” justifies having a membership that costs almost as much as a game to rent you storage on-par with (if not less than) a full-price game, and you only get it for one year. This game, if you’re a serious competitor, is going to be more expensive than the $60-70 game purchases ever did, or you’re going to be left constantly juggling Pokemon between the main games, Home, and Champions because they deliberately made it restrictive.
I’m so let down by how they felt the best path forward for competitive Pokemone was to make a “free to start” game where they took a functioning formula, created a problem, then heavily monetized the solution.

I feel like I’m missing something, is it just the Switch 2 version that is botched? Beyond the 30fps limitation I haven’t seen any bugs on Switch 1

My only issue is the framerate and general jankyness. Less pokemon helps me learn so its fine

Not a bug, but Body Slam’s animation literally during the tutorial stuck out as a very silly animation, considering this is meant to be a dedicated battle simulator.

Maybe they should’ve ran a beta test before release, would’ve cleared some of the issues.

What else can we expect from The Pokémon Company but consistent releases of slop quality

Wait… that’s the list of bugs? That’s pretty normal. short, even. and none of those are really game breaking. obviously mega evolution order is the highest impact. but, still… everyone is acting like this is the cyberpunk release or something.

A Pokemon game being completely buggy at launch. Color me surprised.

There were bugs? I didn’t see any

Devs these days, dude. Don’t be sorry, don’t apologize, just be better.
At least have the game in proper shape to launch before launching it.
Aggravating-Bell2983
Hotspot it doesn’t work for crap even with 5g I can hotspot any other game o want but this one sucks!!
HyruleanKnight37
Why? Why not just launch a finished game? Did they not know these bugs were in the game? Why are they like “OoOoH, wE DidN’t KnOw AbOuT tHiS, wE’rE SoRrY” every goddamn time?
Why is this normalized?

I played for a couple hours last night and thought it was fine. Performance definitely has room for improvement, but it’s not as terrible as I was led to believe. Everything else, I feel is kind of standard fare for a free to play title just getting off the ground. My only real issue here is that it’s currently online only. I’d love to have some offline options down the line, even if it doesn’t feed into progress.

Hey developers, consider giving the characters of Pokemon Champions voice actors.

Very disappointed that the Switch 2 update can’t even bring it up to 60 FPS. I really hope that gets achieved one day soon, but I won’t hold my breath. Not in a rush to play it after hearing about the issues and low quality release
