Espadin 🪵

First-stage Nature-type Daimamon.

Its tail sprouts into a plant of the "Snake Plant" species. It uses this characteristic to hunt or to defend itself from predators. Its activity period is nocturnal, being drowsy during the day.

Cultural Context: In Brazil, the Snake Plant is called "Espada-de-São-Jorge" (Saint George's Sword). It is a very popular plant believed to provide spiritual protection and ward off "evil eye" in many households.

Piradin 🔥

First-stage Fire-type Daimamon.

It possesses the unique characteristic of having its feet turned backwards. It uses this individuality to play pranks on unaware Daimamon hunters. Its temperament is playful, but it hates when anyone notices its clown nose.

Cultural Context: This is a direct reference to the Curupira, a legendary forest protector in Brazilian folklore. The Curupira has backward-facing feet to confuse hunters and trackers, leading them deep into the woods until they get lost.

Rosadin 🌊

First-stage Oceanic-type Daimamon.

Being a favorite among girls, it has fallen victim to groundless alarmist legends. Fortunately, thanks to its hypnotic charm, this species was able to thrive despite its bad reputation. It is a loving and harmless creature.

Cultural Context: This character is inspired by the Pink River Dolphin (Boto Cor-de-Rosa) from the Amazon. Legends say the Boto can transform into a handsome man to charm people at parties. This "bad reputation" in the text refers to the many myths used to explain mysterious occurrences in riverside communities.
