You do Pokemon battles, but you are the Pokemon. In order to do attacks, you must use motion controls. For example, for Flamethrower or Dragon Breath, you blow into the microphone. For Quick Attack, you shake the Switch Joycon. It's a fun way to get into Pokemon.
