Since Sinnoh Tour in 2024, Niantic has been releasing Masterwork Research for shiny mythicals that have been available in the Main Series Games (MSG).
This has worked well so far up till Alola Tour in 2027, with shiny Zeraoara almost guaranteed to be the Masterwork Research.
But this is not sustainable, what with the annual Tours almost catching up to the MSG, and that gen 8 and gen 9 never had their myhtical pokemon available shiny. And I believe in the unspoken rule that no shiny debut in pokemon go before the MSG.
*Meltan and Melmetal are both exceptions to the rule, since they were designed to promote pokemon go. They are both grouped under unknown region despite being gen 7 pokemon, the only 2 pokemon to be grouped so.
So do you think that the upcoming gen 10 Wind/Waves will debut Shiny Zarude? Likely as the completion reward in Pokemon Home? Or will there not be a Masterwork Research for shiny mythicals from Galar Tour onwards going forward?
